Family Vacation 2011

Rushing for checking-in . The check-in counter was about to be closed. We were all stuck on the road because of heavy traffic.

We stayed in a 'home stay' which is about  10 km to the airport. The locals told us that we need only not more than 30 minutes to reach the airport from the home stay. Ok we were very happy and took our time having lunch together in a stall which is said to be the best available in town providing local delicacies. But anyway the things were not to our tastes. Then we went back to our home stay. It was already 12 noon when we arrived there. Everything packed we sped off to the airport at 12.10. The traffic was very heavy and we were caught in the jam . We arrived at the airport at 12.45. We walked towards the checking-in counter so fast and the counter clerks told us it was about to be closed. Anyway they allowed us to be checked-in but we had to carry our luggages by ourselves up to the door of the plane.

I was so angry but had to adhere to the procedure and rules. What to do it was our fault. Really? How about the traffic jam? But rules are rules, we have to follow.

At the same time I did ask the counter clerks, "How about your delay. At times more than one hour but you never compensated us in whatever forms". Without waiting for the reply we quickly entered into the boarding area. But I believe they will be no reply. After all they are workers only.

All in the family packed in a van.

This was the van used for our journey from one location to the other. It was rented out from a car rental company at the airport. The car was just nice for nine of us: seven adults and two babies.

Relaxing while enjoying coconut jelly drink at a post on the beach.

Since we could not go closer to the shores because of stone barrier that separates us from the sea we just sat in at the post on the beach enjoying our drinks.

Yousef Imran: It's so delicious.
Dinner at a restaurant we called it "Family Night With Chin Chum"
The foods were so nice and delicious. We loved them 'finger lickin'.

One of our vacation itineraries was to attend niece's wedding.
The foods served were so special. One common feature was they were so sweet as sweet as the bride and the groom. That's the end of  our family vacation this year.
